The Abalone game is a two player strategy board game whereby each player chooses a colour and then places their 14 marbles on the board in front of them.

Abalone game objective of is to push the opponent`s marbles off the edge of the board. The first player to eject six of their opponent`s marbles wins.

1988 Michel Lalet and Lauren Levi created Abalone. The idea for the abalone game came when the two animation coordinators ran into the son of a French ambassador who was tired of following his father around on business trips.

Lalet and Levi decided to help the bored youth, and so the idea of Abalone was conceived.

On September of the same year Abalone was officially launched. In 1998, Abalone took home the prestigious honour of "game of the Decade" at the "Festival international des jeux."
